- Meet Bet-z Boenning, the Creative Mind Behind Olivia the Owl -
Elizabeth (Bet-z) Boenning is a 50 something-year-old dreamer. A graduate of Kettle Moraine H.S. (Wales, WI), Bet-z went on to Carroll College (Waukesha, WI), in 1988. She currently lives north of Milwaukee with her wife, Nikki and their two dogs. Bet-z runs a non-profit (The Forward Please Project), and works on the Olivia series in her spare time. The Olivia series has been on the back burner since her days at Carroll College (now Carroll University). She is a member of the Chi Omega women's fraternity. The mascot for Chi Omega is an owl and has always been a favorite of Bet-z. So it is where he idea for the Olivia the Owl series was inspired.
